The CIR team, in collaboration with the Research in Public Ethics of the Institute of Law, Politics and Development of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, organized an international workshop on "Climate & Change. Legal and ethical implications".

The event took place on the 13th (afternoon) and 14th (morning) September in a blended form: it was possible to attend it both in presence in Room 3 of the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies and online via Webex.

On the 13th of September, at 3 PM, after the welcome address of Prof. Gaetana Morgante and after the Introductory remarks of Prof. Roberto Buizza, there was a first session, concerning the "Human Rights Implications of Climate Change", chaired by Prof. Edoardo Chiti in which the speakers were Prof. Elisa Morgera (University of Strathclyde), Prof. Karin Arts (Erasmus University Rotterdam) and Prof. John Knox (Wake Forest University).

On 14th September, at 8.45 AM, there was a second session regarding the "Legal Implications of Climate Change" chaired by Prof. Gianluigi Palombella in which the speakers were Prof. Daniel Bodansky (Arizona State University), Prof. Jorge Viñuales (University of Cambridge) and Prof. Annalisa Savaresi (University of Stirling).

On 14th September, at 11.15 AM, there was a third and last session chaired by Prof. Alberto Pirni and titled "Ethical implications of Climate Change" in which the speakers were Prof. Catriona McKinnon (University of Exeter) and Prof. Stephen M. Gardiner (University of Washington), Prof. Fabian Schuppert (University of Potsdam) and Prof. Simon Caney (University of Warwick).
