The Center for Inter-Legality Research identifies one of the most urging research paths in legal, social and political fields firstly inspired and addressed by two works by Gianluigi Palombella that have been its original matrix: E’ Possibile una Legalità globale? Il Rule of Law e la governance del mondo, Il Mulino, Bologna 2012, and The Challenge of Inter-legality (edited with Jan Klabbers), Cambridge University Press, 2019.
The Center for Inter-Legality Research was founded by Prof. Gianluigi Palombella in 2019 as Principal Investigator of a Nationally Relevant Project (PRIN in italian). At its dawn, the CIR was composed by a team of academics from four different Italian Universities: LUISS Guido Carli (Rome), Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca (Milan), Università degli Studi della Tuscia (Viterbo), with the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa) acting as the coordinating unit of the project.

With time our members grew and are now spread throughout many different Universities around Europe.

You cand find more about CIR activities at the project, events, and publications sections of our website.
